Calling all YVC players, friends, and family to "BLACK OUT" the stands at the University of Redladns volleyball game on Friday, October 21st. Wear your "BLACK" YVC shirt to come out and cheer on Coach Mari & Coach Jeremiah's college team and the YVC Alumni and Coaches that play on the team!
This is for all players from the past, present, and future! Come out for a fun night of volleyball. See the system that we teach at Yucaipa Volleyball Club and the style of coaching and training that you will see at our club!

Allison Padgett: YVC Alumni 2011 plays for U of R as a Libero. As she finishes her freshman year, she will join the YVC staff as a coach.

Great Tryout

We started our club season off today with a great tryout! We had so much fun watching a group of girls who love volleyball and already have a great foundation of skills. We are looking forward to an amazing season. For those who are invited to registration, it will be held at our gym. The registration paperwork will be available tomorrow for you to print and fill out before the meeting. Can't wait to get started!

Club Season is just around the corner! Visit www.yucaipavolleyball.com for details including dates, times, and age definitions for each team. This season we have made 1 change club wide that we think will help families get through the season with less stress! This year we will attend the 4 day SCVA Summer Soiree in Anaheim, CA to finish our club season (instead of the Phoenix, AZ 7 day Volleyball Festival). This will alleviate the need for families to travel and stay at such a costly and long event. We have participated in the Summer Soiree in seasons past and have enjoyed the competition and how easy it is for all our families. Along with the tournament, all our players will receive a free ticket to Disneyland for the end of tournament celebration.

Volleyball Festival 2011

Last week, 3 of our club teams traveled to swealtering Phoenix, AZ for the annual Volleyball Festival Tournament. This 6 day event draws teams from all over the world to compete. With literally thousands of athletes in attendance, it is a tournament that offers great competition and a week of fun with your teammates!

Volleyball Festival officially begins with Opening Ceremonies which were held at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Our teams participated in the Parade of Athletes down on the field. The theme was "Pirate Queens of the Desert," so our teams put on their hats and eye patches and hit the field in Pirate Style...ARRRR! It was a great time of music, dancing, and fun for our whole club. Karch Kiraly said a few words to inspire the athletes, and with that, the tournament began!

The next 5 days found our teams deep in the trenches of competition. All of our teams fought hard and played well. Jeremiah and I had the priviledge of cheering for each team at different points throughout the tournament, and all of our players made us so very proud! We saw great attitudes, great plays, great fun, and all around great volleyball!

16 Amanda played well and finished the tournament with a higher ranking than they started with. 16 Christa pulled out 3 days of undefeated play, going 8-0 which brought them to compete for and win their bracket championship. 18 Jeremiah finished strong with 2 days of undefeated play, winning 5-0 to also compete for and win their bracket championship.

At the end of the tournament, our teams were happy to donate some of our volleyballs to USA Volleyball. They give the balls to children here and all over the world so that they can experience the sport of volleyball too.
